Alaska Week on Discovery Channel
I love the Discovery Channel — that’s pretty much all I watch, especially with the long hiatus most shows have been on due to the Writer’s Strike. (Thankfully, that’s all resolved. Let’s hope the Actors don’t strike next.)
They’re famous for doing weeks with a specific theme that unifies all the shows on the network (like Shark Week, for example). Well, they’re doing a bunch of stuff up in Alaska next, and I have to say that the previews look AMAZING.
I love — LOVE — high-definition nature videography, like that found in the seminal Planet Earth series, and The Alaska Experiment looks like it’s in that vein.
